Hoffmann’s future Vienna Kontinental career in jeopardy after wild title celebrations
By: Ray Porter
With Hoffmann’s Deportivo Madrid facing his future team Vienna Kontinental in the final of the Football United League Cup, his final appearance for Madrid was destined to be controversial.
After delivering on the pitch by contributing to Madrid’s victory with his converted penalty he was celebrating ecstatically with Jethro and his future ex-teammates. Continuing to celebrate in the tunnel, he clashed with Ibanez Lopez, a Vienna Winger on the move to the London WW. While Lopez isn’t a well-respected member of the Vienna squad, Hoffmann’s behavior wasn’t seen as acceptable by the majority of the team. An unnamed source close to the club has informed us that after the game an important figure in Vienna’s dressing room has been ranting about Hoffmann claiming “the German prick can f*&$ off to Berlin for all I care.”
If he does complete the move he signed up for, Hoffmann will have to work hard in training to win over his teammates and the Vienna faithful who were even less happy about his behavior on the pitch after the game. The German avoided answering our questions when we reached out to him in a puddle of alcohol in the corner of a Madrid night club.
