The Turkish club was away at Brussels today, as they seek to get all three points to support their league standing and try get into 6th. The team in 6th however, was Brussels, who were coming off of a 0-0 draw with Vienna. The stage was set, and the two sides stepped onto the pitch to try and get the win. The game kicked off, and brussels held firm. Until the 37th minute, when Carlton Drinkwater received the ball and shot from a tight angle, smashing it into the top corner and giving Istanbul the lead before half time. The whistle blew, and not much happened beside chances from both sides. As the game was coming to a close, pressure was on Brussels to get one back. In the 88th minute, Tijani was pulled to the ground, and Brussels were given a final opportunity to score. Saifeddine Tijani stood over the free kick, the ref blew his whistle, and Tijani calmly slotted the ball giving Brussels the goal that they really needed, and the goal that many expected. The final whistle went, and Brussels were proud to get a point, yet seemed they deserved the full win. Many Istanbul players thought the game was a robbery, but the conclusion is that both teams were both equal, which got them a point.
