Madrid vs Brussels MD19 Match Report

Madrid had a shocking cup performance, just like Brussels, so morale was low for both. Brussels needed to win to confirm saftey and Madrid not playing for much had Boyo, the captain, ask for Hussein to take charge for the game. Both teams kept their set up but Madrid decided to go for an all asian attack with Ji-Sung and Yoichi up front for the first time.
Brussels held most of the possesion for the first 10 minutes but that didn’t worry Madrid cause they want to to soak the pressure for the counter. Straight away in the 12th minute we saw how easily Madrid were countering Brussels with Yoichi delivering a perfect through ball for Boyo who took too many touches and shot too late with Cockney making a great save. Madrid still attacking had Moorishinho pass to Boyo on the edge of box who dances past the defender to shoot but its blocked. The block fortunately rebounds towards Boyo who scores a half volley for 1-0. In the 30th minute after fully dominating the game came 2-0, Yoichi with his back to goal sends a perfect through ball to Ji-Sung who finishes it first time. 10 minutes later Yoichi would then smash the ball into the top left corner for 3-0, dancing on the corner flag Madrid were coasting, simply a mismatch on quality.
Second half Madrid went to a 4-3-3 to fit in Grealish and yet still dominated. Any time Brussels tried to attack the trio of Groot Newt and Marsala had them easily on lock. Eventually 70th minute Grealish finds Ji-Sung who chests the ball and volleys it into the bottom corner for a great goal. Nothing happened after that and the game ended 4-0 to Madrid. Madrid had 7 shots which wasnt bad for a “defensive” team. As for Brussels they had 0 shots which had everyone questioning the “dark horses for Season 3” statement.
