MD 19: AMSTERDAM 0 - 0 LONDON: REVIEW

Written by Saad Maan

With just four games remaining in the season, both teams had to get points on the board to reach their seasonal goals. London, who is still in the title race, mathematically needed all three points to stay in that race. Amsterdam, still under threat of relegation, needed three points to secure their survival.

During the first 45 minutes of play, neither side was very daring, mostly sitting back and waiting for the opposition to make a mistake. Due to both teams' calm and composed performances, no opportunity was presented for either team.

In the 60th minute, Amine Amzal ran down the wings, before finally cutting it back to Teemu Tolvani, whose effort was adeptly parried by Oscar Vert.

During the final minutes of the game, London defender James Johnson delivered a horrific tackle outside the box, receiving a yellow card for the offense. Despite the good location of the free-kick, it was wasted. The clock kept ticking, and before we knew it, it was full-time.

This result means that London's title challenge is officially over, and that Amsterdam is still under threat of relegation.
