HARDEN SAVES NORDEN IN THE SNOW
By: Nicklas Ulykke
The opening game of Fantasy Sim League Matchday 8 between FC Berlin and Norden FK was rather uneventful, on a snowy day in Berlin. Both sides had a few chances either side of halftime, most notably Charlie Pawley in the 87th minute, who was 1v1 with the keeper, and somehow dragged it wide. This showed his lack of composure.
The match stayed 0-0 until the very end, when teenage debutant Tyrese Harden saved Norden at the death. Berlin midfielder Frank Babatunde successfully stole the ball from Norden forward Adrian Sanchez and passed the ball straight to Harden in the box and all he had to do was tap it in with Berlin keeper Rimjob Remmington left out to dry.
The 90+1 winner ended Norden's winless run, with the last win coming against Nomades de Paris. In that game Løord Bendtner, who transferred to league leaders Vienna Kontinental in the last window, scored a hattrick.
