Despite the absence of striker Agachuthu FC Berlin showcased their attacking intent from the start. The match began with Berlin dictating the pace and attempting to penetrate Norden's defense. In the 6th minute Keitel unleashed a powerful left-footed strike that seemed destined for the back of the net but the Norden keeper pulled off an impressive save to deny the opener. Norden FK however weren't content with sitting back. In the 23rd minute Harden took a speculative long-range shot that forced the Berlin keeper into action punching the ball out of play. The first half continued with both sides aiming to break the deadlock. Norden's Newton orchestrated a promising attack in the 43rd minute delivering a cross to Bosnic whose header sailed over the crossbar squandering a golden opportunity. As the second half commenced the intensity of the match did not waver. Norden's Odinson unleashed a long-range effort that missed its mark in the 49th minute. The pressure from Norden continued with Newton attempting another long-range shot in the 61st minute but his aim was off target once again. Growing frustrated with Newton's missed chances Norden's captain made a tactical substitution in the 65th minute replacing Newton with Fink and introducing Kat in place of Aboye. In response FC Berlin's captain introduced Hans-Adam into the match in the 70th minute seeking to alter the dynamics of the game. Despite the flurry of substitutions neither team managed to find the breakthrough and the match concluded with a goalless stalemate. Norden FK showcased resilience and a solid defensive performance while FC Berlin displayed their determination to maintain their attacking prowess despite the absence of Agachuthu.
