The long awaited Football United league cup semi-final arrives as an inform London side are set to play the Turkish underdogs Istanbul. The game kicked off, and London were looking to get ahead early. After only six minutes of play, Tolvani received the ball on the edge of the box following a well drilled throw-in routine. With a quick turn, he played a clever pass to the feet of Ray Peest, who made no mistake in taking advantage of the early chance.
Just two minutes later, Teemu Tolvani adds to the misery of Istanbul. After instantly regaining possession from the kick-off, Ray Peest, and Tolvani combine to send the latter of the two through on goal. Tolvani, riding a wave of good form, makes no mistake as he doubles London's lead.
Giving the Turkish side no time to breathe, London amped up the pressure even further. In the 20th minute of play, Maki Barnes sends a hopeful through ball to Amine Amzal. The Moroccan superstar dribbles along the byline, eventually cutting it back to Ray Peest who scores his second of the night.
Going into half-time, London were three goals up. Istanbul failed to create anything of any substance throughout the half. You could sense that they had accepted defeat.
With both sides accepting that the game was as good as over, the second half consisted of London pressure as well as midfield battles, without anything significant occurring. Despite already securing their place in the final, London did not make a single substitution, accepting the risk of injuries.
