Brussels had a questionable lineup, with people wanting to know the reason of why they changed it. The captain stated “We are trying new things out, and giving other players a chance.” Milan’s lineup was their first in history, and they produced quite the lineup indeed. However, they had no captain, and it did show that they needed one quite early on in the game. However, it was Milan were the ones who started the game well, eventually scoring first before half time, a shot deflecting off of a Brussels player, and falling to the feet of Cunningham, who put the ball away to make the score 1-0. Half time eventually rolled around, both teams made their changes, and both teams also making certain impacts. Brussels had shot after shot, but none could fully hit the net, because of Riku Nohomo. Eventually, at around the 70 minute mark, a cross was brought into the box, and landed on the head of Emir Šehbajraktarević, who went for the header, which was saved by Nohomo who couldn’t get his hands on it, and eventually let Šehbajraktarević go for the rebound, giving Brussels the second and last goal of the night.
