Milan Bounces Back with Impressive Win Over Istanbul

Milan was coming into this game on the back of four straight losses, and were desperately seeking a turnaround in their fortunes. Istanbul on the other hand, had established themselves as a tough team to beat, with their only loss this season coming against Vienna.

The first half of the match saw limited opportunities for both teams. Possession was predominantly in Milan's control, with the home side controlling the ball for much of the opening 45 minutes. However, chances were rare, and it wasn't until the 32nd minute that the deadlock was finally broken.

It was Moise Bean who made the difference for Milan. Bean, stepped up to take a free kick just outside the box from about 22 yards. He curled the ball over the wall and into the back of the net to give Milan the lead.

As the second half got underway, the home side continued to go forward in search of a second goal. In the 54th minute, Théo Charlier delivered a low pass into the Istanbul box. Babatunde Agachuthu, displaying his composure, turned and took a shot that found the near post, doubling Milan's lead.

Milan continued their second half dominance when in the 67th minute Zoro Tsukuyomi, making his debut, delivered a cross into the box. Moise Bean, once again proving his finishing ability, rose above the Istanbul defence to head the ball into the net, making it 3-0.

FC Istanbul, to their credit, did not give up easily. They fought back and were rewarded with a consolation goal in the 87th minute. Muka Lodric, managed to find the back of the net, providing a glimmer of hope for the visiting side. However, it was too little too late for Istanbul, with the final whistle blowing 3-1 in favour of Milan.
