While everyone's racing for the FSL champion title, Milan and Paris played a stylish match to decide who's the real fashion capital of the world.
The first half hour of the game was pretty much equal, with both teams creating and missing chances. However, in the 30th minute, the Paris captain got a yellow card and conceded a free kick for a foul on Babatunde Agachuchu. The set piece was later turned into a goal by Milanese player Raiden Vokovic, opening the score in favour of the hosts.
RJ Avery was about to improve the situation for Paris, but the white-greens goalkeeper Riku Nohomo saved his shot. The first half ended with a 1-0 lead for the Italian team.
Paris started the second half aggressively, flooding the opponents' box and trying to force an equalizer. However, a failed pass from the away team's backline and an accurate header from Babatunde Agachuchu extended Milan's lead, making it 2-0.
On the 68th minute, Milan's goalkeeper once again heroically saved his team's clean sheet, this time after a dangerously close attack from Furlan. Paris kept pushing forward, trying to find a gap in the Italian wall, but after Carlo Marchetti scored the closing goal in the 79th minute, the match was all but over. Yet, as if he hadn't proved himself already, Riku Nohomo made one more amazing save, in a face-to-face duel with Furlan in compensated time.
In the battle between the fashion capitals of Europe, Milano and Italy came out on top. This sees Milano jump up the table, as they sit comfortably in the top half of the table. Paris' situation remains the same, as teams around them fail to pick up points.
