Following Paris incredible escape from relegation, they look to ride the wave of momentum built by former captain Boama. On the other end of the pitch, Athens looked beat ahead of the fixture. Losing the majority of their key players clearly took its toll over the summer, and visibly so. Playing at home, with 34,000 Parisians cheering on, it was Paris who'd take charge of the affair. In the 7th minute, following a disturbing sequence of play by new Kerberos interim-captain Aaron Hughes, Mark Cole playing as a left-winger scored the first of the match day. Despite the early goal, it was all the first half had on offer. Paris drove the play forward for the majority of the ball but lacked the final ball to create anything of value. In continuation of the first half, the second half provided just about as much entertainment. Neither Paris nor Athens were confident enough to even attempt something with any bit of risk attached to it. As the clock kept ticking, Athens grew desperate, forcing the ball forward in hopes of a moment of magic - which would be provided. Following a hail Mary cross from Spitz, the ball would find its way to Emero Laden, who, despite the pressure put on his shoulders, made no mistake. Athens would ride out the final four minutes of the match and leave Paris with a point won, whilst Paris hung their heads in shame as they dropped points to subpar opposition.
