MD 20: NOMADES DE PARIS 0-1 BRUSSELS KV
Paris falls at the hands of a controlled Brussels side
Written by: Saad Maan
Paris has been one of the disappointments of the season so far. Despite having a legitimate captain and a half decent squad, they've looked horrible post the League Cup. Brussels, on the other hand, have upped their game, winning two in a row following a disastrous spell of form.
In the first half, Paris would dominate the ball, without being able to create anything significant. On the stroke of half-time, the best chance of the half would come as Brussels player Matvei Sbinottov would miss an open net.
Without any changes during half-time, both captains were happy with their sides's performance.
Following the half-time team talks, Brussels would come out the better team. It'd only take 12 minutes for Brussels to punish a sloppy Paris defense as Gabi Marusa was sent through by Augusto Rodrigues, where the former made no mistake, giving Brussels the lead.
Brussels would suffocate Paris for the remaining part of the half, as they shut out Paris completely. Despite having a few goal scoring chances, they weren't able to convert.
This result sees Paris cement themselves as the worst team in FSL, with 15 points in 20 matches. Despite this, they are only two points away from safety. With 10 matches remaining, it's far from impossible. Brussels hangs on with the top dogs, as they sit on 34 points, landing them in fifth place.
