MATCHDAY 3 REVIEW by Samantha Lennon, Amsterdam Evening News
Roma SS 2-2 FC Amsterdam
Roma had started the season with 2 wins from 2. FC Amsterdam won on the opening day against new side FC Berlin, but lost to preseason champions, Zagreb, the following matchday.
Nothing much happened in the first half, until the 41st minute, where a Rizzo pass cut through the Amsterdam defense leaving Henry Kamel with an easy shot to open the scoring. The ref blew for half time 4 minutes later when Roma SS made an early substitution.
On the 61st minute, Will O'Neill levelled the scoring, which us at AEN think is one of the best goals you'll see this season. However, 5 minutes later, Rizzo and Kamel combine again as Matthew Lennon's missed tackle gave Kamel another easy goalscoring opportunity which he took well, putting Roma up 2-1. But, that wasn't all she wrote, as a very attacking Amsterdam tactical change ended up with Alexi Williams finishing off a good move, equaling the scores. Soon after, the game finished 2-2.
