An epic semi-final between Vienna & Norden - offense versus defense, who will prevail?

In a high stake, one legged affair, caution from both sides is to be expected. The first half met those expectations, as both sides committed to their defensive approach in the hopes of finding a weakness in the opposition. Vienna made their weakness clear from the start, with a number of turnovers, which Norden failed to capitalize on. The half ended 0–0, without much to talk about.

Coming into the second half, Vienna had changed their approach to focus more on Hoffmann and hopefully give more chances to score.

With nothing happening in the first 70 minutes of the match, Vienna decided to bring on King Hart for the newly recruited fullback Connor Cedar. An experienced player such as Hart has been of massive use to Vienna over the last seasons, filling in wherever he's been needed.

As full time and penalties approached, Vienna and Keetch found themselves on the right flank. The exhausted midfielder sent a sloppy cross in, which Max Jaxon managed to latch onto. Holding off two defenders, he twists and turns and fires away a shot. Harry Upamaguire threw himself in front of the shot, but only managed to deflect it — into his own net. Max Jaxon won it for Vienna and sent them to the final.

Norden, despite only conceding a single goal all tournament, would fall short and finish third, following the third place match against Istanbul. Vienna go on to their second Football United League Cup final after falling short to Deportivo Madrid in Season 1.
