Match Report: Zagreb NK 3-2 London Wembley Wanderers

Zagreb and London entered the match in 4th and 3rd place respectively adding extra importance to this fixture as they were separated by just one spot in the standings. The game began with Zagreb attempting to seize the momentum early on However it was London who broke the deadlock just five minutes later. Peest delivered a sublime through ball to Amzal who calmly slotted a left-footed shot into the net giving London a 1-0 lead. London continued to dominate in the 38th minute when Peest struck a powerful shot that struck the post only for the rebound to fall to Amzal who completed his brace making it 2-0 in favor of London. After the halftime break Zagreb came out with renewed determination. In the 48th minute Kamel made a promising run down the left flank but the ball was deflected out of bounds by Kazuki. A corner resulted from the play taken by Jethro but unfortunately for Zagreb Rizzo's header went over the bar. Zagreb continued to press in the 63rd minute when Plum attempted a shot that sailed wide of the post as they searched for a lifeline in the game. London attempted to regain control with a substitution bringing on Johnson for Kazuki. In the 75th minute Zagreb's persistence paid off. Kamel delivered a precise pass to Jethro who unleashed a sensational turning long-range shot that found the back of the net reducing the deficit to 2-1. Zagreb wasted no time trying to capitalize on their newfound energy making substitutions bringing on Alpha for Plum and Alvarez for Neagu. In the 86th minute McGavin delivered a cross into the box but Haji's header sent the ball out of bounds. London attempted to counter Zagreb's growing threat by making substitutions introducing Wallace for Peest and Menga for Tolvani. However, their efforts were in vain as moments later Jethro's corner was met by Rizzo who powered a header into the goal leveling the score at 2-2.
Then in the 91st minute Kamel provided an assist to Jethro who scored a dramatic last-minute winner and completed his brace giving Zagreb a stunning 3-2 lead. London had one final opportunity in injury time but Dalesy's effort went wide and the referee blew the whistle confirming Zagreb's majestic comeback victory.
