FSL Player Focus – Moritz Hoffman

By Hingle McCringleberry

Moritz Hoffman. The enigma. The influential Goalkeeper turned Center-back is highly regarded throughout the league. Bristol Bridge blue through and through, he’s seen it all.

Who are you? “I am Moritz Hoffmann, a left-footed Central Defender currently on loan from Glasgow FC at Bristol Bridge. Fans of the Sim League might know me better from my team as Bristol’s starting keeper.”

What is your background? “I was born in Germany and underwent my youth development there, after a disappointing first half of the season at my hometown club, I wanted a new challenge and joined Bristol Bridge in the Winter window of Season 8. Adapting to England was hard however, so I struggled in my first half of the season, since I didn’t have a pre-season tour with my new teammates and couldn’t slot in right away. With the managers trust however, I improved a lot in the first half of Season 9, earning myself a transfer to Glasgow. There I changed my position to Center Back and got loaned out to Bristol again.”

What are your current career aspirations? “To find a new club at which I can start as a Center Back. As much as I love Bristol, the game time here is scarce. I was also told that I couldn’t play for Glasgow because of familial ties to their manager.”

What kind of legacy would you like to leave on FSL? “I want this leagues strikers to celebrate the day I retire. Becoming the leagues best ever defender is my aspiration and judging by the performance Anosic and me delivered in the cup against St. Marylebone, one of the leagues strongest attacks, I think i’m on a good way there. Especially the second leg where we kept a clean sheet was a magical night.”

Any additional notes? “Not really, it was a pleasure talking to you.”
