AD Lisboa, contrary to what many expected, opened the scoring in the 15th minute through the experienced talisman Kalle Knull. Following the goal, an intense tactical duel between the two managers would ensue.
It'd take another 55 minutes before London starlet Amine Amzal was able to equalise through an error from debutant Rico Doekoe in the 72nd minute.
In the 89th minute London would take the lead for the first time in the game after a swift counter attack, with a finish from striker Yuri Haji. Lisboa refused to stop believing, and right after kick-off they'd find the final goal of the game, scored by Çağatay Yılmaz.
