Match Report Brussels vs Norden Leg 2

By: Conner Munist

The first leg ended 1-0 with no away goals scored, both teams didn’t change anything tactically and trusted their first leg set up.

The first half had very little action, Brussels were pushing for the goal they needed to make it square, but they couldn’t get a shot on goal. Brussels hogged possession, ending the half on 64% but only had 1 shot to their name.

Brussels kept pushing without any changes, but straight into the start of the second half, Brussels lost the ball in the midfield. Norden capitalise on this mistake with Bosnic sending a perfect through ball for Andrew Tate who strikes it with power to make it 0-1. A huge away goal, which meant Brussels would have to score 3 to have a chance to go through. Demoralised, Brussels struggled to push forward any more, giving up. However, in the 82nd minute they had a close free kick, but Diego tamely hit the wall. Norden passed the ball around for, waiting for that final whistle, which eventually blew.

Norden confidently won the game and will face London in the Quarter finals, whereas Brussels will go their first season in FSL trophyless.
