NOMADES DP 2-1 DEPORTIVO MADRID: REVIEW

By: Ron Innbach Turd III

The relegation scrub team against one of the higher class teams, Madrid, was expected to wipe the floor with Paris. Being far behind in the table, even winning this wouldn't help Paris all that much.

The match began with high expectations for Madrid, in the 5th minute, after a Paris interception, they did a one two buckle my shoe for a nearly intercepted pass that luckily made its way to Semmi who hit the NASTY one-timer for an extremely early 1-0 lead for Paris during the 6th minute. Failed attacks from Madrid followed, a clear reaction to being down 1-nil against the worst team in the league. Both sides had promising attacks going for them, mainly Madrid, but none of these attacks saw a goal nor a corner kick.

Not much occurred in the early second half, mostly more failed attacks. A sexy through pass from Madrid in the 61st minute opened up the opportunity to make a majestic pass to tie the game up 1-1. The goalkeeper didn't know that there was a Madrid player standing completely free there, with the chance for an easy shot to put Madrid in the driver's seat. When the goalscorer is called Woy Hodgson, you know that something went terribly wrong.

With Paris rushing to get back on the offensive, they began to play carelessly and Madrid got more scoring opportunities due to easy interceptions. In the 78th minute, a low cross from Paris that came an off-goal shot was redirected by a Madrid player for a Paris goal! In Marsala's attempt to clear the ball, he kicked it into his own net!

This win sees Paris get some hope in their relegation battle, meanwhile Madrid needs to be careful not to fall into midtable mediocrity.
