MD 07: AMSTERDAM 0 - 1 BERLIN

With both teams set for a season-long relegation battle, Amsterdam takes on Berlin for an all-important six-pointer.

Written by: Saad Maan, Forta Evening News

Despite most of the match going fans not expecting anything, they still found themselves disappointed with the quality of football on offer. In the first half, between the two sides, they could only muster up a single shot, which was off-target. Going into the second half, minimal changes were made, Amsterdam captain Jack David decided to change his formation, adding a striker. This would conclude the American's radical attempt, but we're sure it won't be his last this season. In the 78th minute, following some minor changes from Amsterdam, Romeo Keitel combined with both of the team captains, Floyd Lawton and Diego Fantastico before being sent through by the latter. The German World Cup hero would place his shot into the bottom left corner and give Berlin the lead. The Germans were able to see the game through with minimal trouble, seeing Berlin climb above Amsterdam and set themselves up nicely for a mid-table push.
