MD 09 AMSTERDAM 3 – 1 BELGRADE: REVIEW

Amsterdam take on Belgrade in an early relegation dogfight.

To the masses, Amsterdam is hard to predict. On one hand, they will come out and play the purest kind of football imaginable, and on the other, they'll sit back and not touch the ball for 90 minutes. Today, we got the former of the two.

The goalscoring would start in the 14th minute of play as Travis Bickle was sent through on goal from the left half-space following a beautiful sequence of play from the Dutch. Starting from Amsterdam's defence and ending with Bickle's powerful effort into the roof of the net.

Even though Amsterdam aren't known for scoring a lot of goals, Belgrade aren't well known for keeping them out either. Only six minutes after the first, Will O'Neil doubled their lead after he combined with the captain's wife, Rose Piper.

Going into half-time, Amsterdam felt comfortable with their lead – especially since Belgrade had not registered a single shot, on or off target.

It wouldn't take long for Belgrade to do that, and a bit more. In the 55th minute, Willian Wallace was sent through by Semmi where he made no mistake. Scoring Belgrade's first shot on target and getting his team back into the game.

Belgrade were celebrating like they had actually won something, and Amsterdam took full advantage. Right from kick off, Amsterdam charged down the left flank, before Tumor Boruta sent in a lofted cross to Richie Juice, who converted the header.

The game would end with a scoreline of 3-1 in favour of Amsterdam, seeing them jump Belgrade in the table and out of the relegation zone.
