Match Summary

Berlin vs Amsterdam MD20

by Conner Munist

Both teams are pretty much safe from relegation but both wanted to make sure. Berserko stuck to his 4-2-1-3 but Jmart went with five attackers in a fluid set up.

First 20 minutes had very little going on but in the 20th minute the attacking Amsterdam got the goal they were looking for, Ruben Jansen played a nice pass into Will O’Neill took a great touch and shot the ball into the back of the net to make it 1-0 to Amsterdam. Amsterdam decided to still attack not holding back with O’Neill nearly scoring again but his effort was tame. The high line also caught Berlin offside alot on the counter but one time Berlin were onside Darwizzy nearly scored the equaliser but it flew past the left post. Straight after Amsterdam doubled their lead with Boruta sending in a deep cross for O’Neill to head it cleverly back into Dmytro who finishes it calmly for 2-0. Amsterdam still not sitting back went to maximum tempo before the first half whistle blew.

Berlin after an awful first half started second half better with Floyd Lawton making some changes. Amsterdam nearly made it three after Boruta ran down the wing setting up Dmytro perfectly but he couldn’t get to the ball in time. The high line eventually got exposed after Diego Fantastico found himself with acres of space in a 1v1 and slots it home to make it 2-1 bringing Berlin back in the game. Shocked Amsterdam decided to go into a 4-4-2 for more saftey at the back. Diego Fantastico in the 81st minute set up Romeo beautifully with a lofted pass but from a difficult angle Romeo couldn’t finish it. Eventually the whistle blew and Amsterdam won 2–1

Man of the Match Will O’Neill, great goal and clever assist to win Amsterdam the game.
Flop of the Match Agachuthu, was always offside and has been a shadow of his cup form
