Lisboa shocks London - and progresses to the semi-finals

London were massive favourites going into this game, however a late collapse from them resulted in their elimination from the tournament. The crowd at Glasgow's Ibrox Stadium witnessed a brace from Marcus Wood to send Lisboa to the semi-finals, where they will face Roma SS, a team they have yet to beat.
Nothing of note happened in the first half. London had 3 shots, but none of them being remotely dangerous. On top of this extremely dull first half, there were no half-time changes from either team. To be honest, Wood, who started the game at centre back, had swapped with Kalle Knull and replaced him up front. Statistically, Knull is the best centre back in the league, which is a concern.
Knull's a man of the spotlight. On 53 minutes, he hit the bar with a free kick that wasn't too far out, and most would say he should've scored. Would an in form Knull have scored that? London keeper Toilet saved the rebound.
With 12 minutes to go, substitute Musson's excellent corner delivery reached the afro of Marcus Wood who put it past the reach of Toilet, giving Lisboa a late lead. Exactly 10 minutes later, London had a perfect opportunity to send the game into extra time, but Ray Peest missed an absolute sitter, putting his awful shot wide of the post. This miss ultimately cost London their chance of a semi-final opportunity.
To add insult to injury, Wood got on the end of a superb cutback from Warhurst, and sent it into the middle of the goal whilst Toilet was nowhere to be found. The game ended 2-0 Lisboa, and gives them a chance of reaching the final.
