Paris win their first game in FSL history
By: Ray Porter
Nomades de Paris started the matchday as the only team in the league without a win yet, but after getting a surprising draw and multiple new signings, including former Amsterdam Man Karl Lehmann, hopes were high for the Parisians.
And the players delivered on that hope early: Fredrik Haaland sent a long ball into the box for Semmi to chase it, the Hungarian chested it down and scored in a brilliant fashion. And thus the unthinkable happened, Paris actually took a lead. Amsterdam took an even more defensive approach after conceding and were punished shortly before half-time by none other than their ex-player Karl Lehmann. A long ball by defender Georgi Kabakov was headed into the path of Lehmann by Semmi. The German pulled off a composed strike against Vert under pressure.
The second half saw no changes to the new status quo, and Paris won their first game on the eight Matchday. Amsterdam's fans were furious about their team's performance and demanded Captain Jack David's head for what they believe to be disgraceful management.
