MD 12: NORDEN FK 1-1 ATHENS KERBEROS

✍️ Written by: Domenico Jordano (Nightingale Press)

Athens has experienced a brutal fall-off from the heights of last season. The Greek team is stuck in the relegation zone and needs to grab every point to stay alive. Norden on the other hand, sits comfortably in mid-table, with the aim of inching closer to the title hunt no matter how unrealistic it may be.

The first dangerous attempt came from Thor Odinson and his thunderous shot in the 25th minute, which was saved by Athens goalkeeper Midas Hepatitis. 10 minutes later, Kerberos striker Ilias Garcia performed two headers: one stopped by a crossbar, and the other sending an easy parachute goal behind Myung Choi's back to make the score 0-1 in the 39th minute!

Despite that, Athens didn't go into the locker room victorious. The Son of Odin once again decided to demonstrate his might, but this time, in a one-on-one duel. Midas Hepatitis had no chance to stop Thor from putting the ball into the back of the net, as Norden equalized.

In stark contrast to the first half, the second half was rather boring. However, the entire half wouldn't pass without some form of excitement. Thor Odinson almost won it for Norden late on in the half. However, a super-save from Hepatitis secured the point for Athens.

In conclusion, Thor Odinson can be praised as the man of the match. But as the captain of Norden, he should think twice before losing points to a bottom-2 team. Yet, his problems are far from the worries of Athens, who are still left in the relegation zone chasing Lisboa and Berlin.
