Following the hectic weeks of league cup action as well as the transfer deadline, Zagreb went back to their usual selves and beat Norden away from home. Due to other results, Zagreb are now only five points away from the top spot, currently claimed by Vienna.
Despite the many transfers in and around the league, it was the usual suspects, Bebe Barry and Akiyama "Sushi Taco" Hernandez, who'd give Zagreb the lead in the 15th minute. League sponsor Leonardo Vargas got involved in the foreplay, before Bebe Barry engaged in the infamous "one-two buckle my shoe" with Hernandez, who made no mistake tucking the chance away.
As the game went on, Zagreb would up the pressure and press on to double their lead. Their efforts were rewarded in the 42nd minute after a lovely lofted pass from Jamal Kane reached the foot of Bebe Barry. Despite his technical limitations, he was able to toe-poke it past Choi.
Norden's Captain Andrew Tate was seemingly absent and refused to take charge of the situation, due to this, the rest of the Norden squad decided to listen to the home crowd and their instructions for the rest of the evening. As fate would have it, the Norden crowd were considerably better at leading the team than Andrew Tate, leaving his future in jeopardy once more.
New recruit Tyrese Harden, a frequent goalscorer, would be on the other side of the play this time. Playing the ball into the feet of Kenan Bosnic, who exploited the space left behind by Matthew Lennon - who'd rushed out in a rash attempt to win the ball back. In the 70th minute, Bosnic, with a powerful effort into the top right corner of the goal, left Majmunovic hopeless. However, Norden had run out of steam, unable to equalize in the last 20 minutes of the game. Zagreb took home all three points and have made the title-charge a reality.
