ROMA 1 - 0 VIENNA: THIRD PLACE PLAYOFF REVIEW

Cup favourites Vienna would fall even further as they finish fourth in the FU League Cup. Roma's Lucca Rizzo, who has seemingly mastered the defender / forward hybrid role, would score to send Vienna's dressing room into chaos.

Roma is one of FSL's best defensive teams, and today they showed everyone just that. Able to limit Vienna to zero big chances in the first half. This did come at a cost, their own attacking prowess.

With one of the more dull first halves so far this cup campaign, both teams made alterations in order to change the game state. In the 78th minute, Anto Vukovic played a hopeful ball over the top, which Lucca Rizzo quickly latched onto. With perfect technique, Rizzo would open up his body and shift the ball to his left foot - scoring a beautiful half-volley, sending the stands into ecstasy.

Minutes later, Vienna would press on in an attempt to find the equalizer. Dos Reis would combine with Keetch to create a glaring hole in the Roma defence, but was unable to capitalize due to a fantastic stop from Noncey Wallace. A deflated Vienna side were unable to push on, giving Roma the bronze medal.
