Hamburg and Warsaw have had very different starts to life in FSL. One, has been blessed with activity and looks set to become a FSL mainstay. The other, with a banned interim captain, look to hang on for dear life, as they head into what looks like to be a difficult first season. Despite being recently promoted, it was a very one-sided affair. Hamburg took charge of the match right from the go as they were gifted chance after chance. Warsaw, with a valiant effort and some luck on their side, would be able to hold the gates until the 43rd minute. The triple threat of Dohg Innim, Jordan Brown, and Akiyama Hernandez combined, with the latter placing their shot into the bottom right corner. Going into half-time, it was newcomer Ferrari who would take charge of his team in the absence of newly appointed captain Kiu dos Santos. Hamburg would continue their domination, but not without a fightback from Warsaw, who in total attempted seven shots, with only two on target. With a bit of hope, Warsaw sent more men forward. However, it was super-substitute Erik Kilmonger who would deal the killing blow in the 79th minute. Adam Justle spotted the run of Kilmonger, who cut inside and opened his body, leaving the entire goal at his mercy. A player of his stature and experience is expected to convert those chances, and so he did, doubling Brussels's lead and scoring his first of the season. This result sees Hamburg jump up to nine points, extending their lead on Warsaw to six points. Warsaw looks to be set for a long and hard relegation battle.
