MD 15 LISBOA 2 - 1 NORDEN: REVIEW

Kalle Knull against former teammate Andrew Tate. The two previous meetings between the club had ended in draws, one being goalless and the other being significantly more dramatic. The drama would continue into this matchday with late goals, simulation calls, and disallowed equalizers.

In the 22nd minute, Ruben Martinez combined with recent import Kodai Senga who quickly laid it off to Ahmed Zidane, who with all his might struck the ball into the bottom right corner, giving Lisboa the lead. In the aftermath of the goal, Andrew Tate could be seen lying on the ground screaming - pitchside sources tell us he was calling Ahmed Zidane a "traitor" among other vulgarities.

Despite the antics from Norden's captain, they pulled themselves back together and dominated the possession for the remainder of the half. In the 35th minute, Norden found a gap in the Lisboa midfield, allowing Andrew Tate to fire away his trademark long shot following a pass from Bosnic. The shot was too powerful for Bingo Bango to deal with.

Going into half-time, both teams were happy with their performance. Substitutions were made to combat fatigue as we approach the end of the season.

In the 60th minute, Ahmed Zidane sent Cagatay Yilmaz through one-on-one with the goalkeeper. He couldn't have asked for a better chance, however, he skied it. In a post-match interview, Yilmaz said that "Our new stadium, it's so big. The fans, the nerves, it got to me."
Regardless of his nerves, Yilmaz would put on a display of skill as he picked up a loose ball from a Norden corner before sending unlikely scorer Ruben Martinez through on goal. Learning from Yilmaz previous mistakes, he opened up his body and slotted it into the bottom right corner, sending the Lisboa faithful into a craze.
Norden, like they had done in the first half, went all out for an equalizer, and they got it - or so they thought they did. A rare offside call would see Norden's equalizer disallowed, meaning Lisboa got away with all three points.
