MD 15 MADRID 1 - 2 BERLIN: REVIEW

Deportivo Madrid midfielder disappointed in team and captain as they drop points once again.

Written by: Saad Maan

A struggling Madrid side faced a Berlin team on the rise, and contrary to what many expected going into the matchup, Madrid would fall short.

In the 22nd minute, Diego Fantastico sent in a fantastic cross to Babatunde Agachuthu. With a giant's leap, he managed to lob it over Jefferson - and with a bit of luck, score. With a stadium in shock, Madrid weren't able to mount a comeback in the first half.

During half-time, Madrid midfielder Jolé Molé was substituted on for right-back Kalea Wilson. Clearly, the move worked. Woy Hodgson would lay the ball off to Billy Boyo in the 55th minute, who carried it into the penalty area and struck it with all of his power - equalizing the scoring.

Despite the success of the Jolé Molé substitution, he was taken off just five minutes after the goal. Jolé Molé had this to say about the matter: "ICH BIN ABSOLUT AM BODEN ZERSTÖRT. Ich war ganz klar der Unterschiedmacher, der Mann des Augenblicks, ich wollte uns über die Ziellinie bringen, aber dann werde ich einfach ausgewechselt... Ohne Grund? Dieser beschissene Kapitän bringt mich noch um den Verstand. Ich kapiere das nicht. Ich bin am Ende. HOLT MICH AUS MADRID RAUS."

With an upset bench and a confused captain, Berlin were set to take charge - and so they did. In the 70th minute, five minutes after the controversial change, Niel Cooke, with a powerful effort from an awkward angle, gave Berlin the lead once more. Billy Boyo, visibly confused, instructed his teammates to go forward, but to no avail.

Madrid would lose the match, making mid-table mediocrity a possible reality as Lisboa climbs higher, only one point shy of the Spaniards. When asked about the substitution, Billy Boyo mentioned that "it was a racist decision". Make of that what you will.
