Match Summary

Athens Kerberos 2-1 FC Amsterdam

By: Blak Lawmaker

Both Athens and Amsterdam claimed 1 point in their last match...They must fight for the 3 points to determine who goes in that top 4 position As the match started Athens ran off quickly...with quick play from Amal Spitz, David Bowling, and Bas Kurt to set up Danny Optic to shoot and score a bullet that even the GK couldn't move in time all in the 4th minute As the match went on, Amsterdam attempted to turn the game around...But all their efforts were in vain as in the 35th minute a quick counter and a quick pass from Amal Spitz to Danny Optic for him to sprint through the defense to score his second for him and the Greeks With a 2-0 lead after the halftime whistle, surely Athens couldn't lose it right? At the 75th minute, Amsterdam fans were on top of their heads when they saw Will O'Neill miss an opportunity that could have started the comeback as it sadly hit the post and flew straight into the legs of Kalea Wilson but failed to slice it in immediately But in the 80th minute, Amsterdam had a quick counter-attack at the Greeks, with a quick link-up play from Dmytro Junior and Jack David to set up Will O'Neill who slotted in the shot and scored to bring hope to them The game ended with Athens Kerberos taking the 3 points, Danny Optic taking home the man of the match award and FC Amsterdam disappointed. The Greeks now have 5 points on the table whilst Amsterdam sticks with 1.
