Kerberos extend Paris’ losing streak
By: Ray Porter
Nomades de Paris started the season with five straight losses so they were hoping to get a good result on the road in Athens.
Kerberos showed a passionate start and finally rewarded themselves in the 40th minute when Johnny Johnes made the best out of a long ball to the right wing and found Jethro in the box. Last season’s POTY converted the cross with a magnificent strike.
Paris was hoping to restrict LP Kerberos to a 1-0 lead at the break. Those hopes were crushed a few minutes later when a long ball by Nootazuki was headed down by Jethro towards Senga who laid it off to Johnes again. The Winger found a surging run by midfielder Max Jaxon, who put the ball in the air to score a volley with his right foot. Kerberos’ team combined to a wonderful goal that every fan should have seen at least once.
It remained 2-0 at the break as Kerberos effectively scored their chances. While the second half saw a few more good combinations and chances, most of them were blazed wide by attackers on both sides. Paris missed the opportunity to regain ground in the relegation battle, while Kerberos is lurking on the edges of the top spots.
